1. Baby Lounger

Newborn sleeps on the crib for 18-19 hours a day. It is advisable to avoid co bedding with your baby, so the baby sleeps in his own bed called crib. You must be thinking then why do we need a lounger? Here are the reasons we invested in a lounger:
  • It ensures the position of baby's head as it is essential to have a nice round head
  • It ensures the perfect position to baby as well as optimal safety of the baby as the baby stays in certain positions only
  • Keeps baby's legs raised which helps to avoid any colic and reflux issues
We choose this lounger because it is recommended and co-created by pediatric osteopath and in our experience, it delivers what it promises.

2. Swaddles

Look for swaddle blankets crafted from soft, lightweight, and breathable fabrics like muslin cotton or moisture-wicking bamboo. Swaddling protects your baby against their natural startle reflex.

3. Baby Jumpsuits

We love the jumpsuits for our new born and even now that he is 9 months as they are comfortable and hassle free. We wanted 100% Organic cotton one piece, so went for
Burt’s Bees Baby Romper Jumpsuit. Try it! I am sure mammas you will not regret the purchase.

4. Towels

As adults we use Bamboo towels because they are extra absorbent, super soft, lightweight, and sustainable. Then how could we not choose it for our baby. Yes, we choose Adult Bamboo towel set for our new born. The set has all the features we as a new parent were looking for.

5. Bibs

Bibs are an easy way to prevent all the spills and spurts from their clothes. Look for a soft 100% organic, non-irritating material, super absorbent, and an adjustable bib. Considering all the mentioned factors we choose the brand available on amazon- KeaBabies. They have budget friendly yet trustworthy products for our little ones.

6. Bottles

If you are pumping or formula feeding, then a bottle plays a vital role. However, even if you are breast feeding a bottle will be required at some point let’s say you are travelling or baby is not latching anymore (do not worry mom pump and feed) or you are a working mom now, Baby is 2 years old and need bottle feed.

Being a new parent we were using normal bottles and later realized that the baby creates bubbles while latching on the bottle and gallop those bubbles which leads to gas. Our friend recommended us to use Dr. Browns Anti colic bottle. These bottles are fully vented designed to aid in digestion and it works like magic.

7. Bottle Warmer and Sterilizer

A bottle warmer maintains the correct temperature of the breastmilk or formula milk.
Sterilization is an added step that can help kill more germs than traditional cleaning. Some find it optional but I think it is important as it provides extra protection to the baby against germs.

8. Diapers

Newborns may use up to 10 diapers per day. Of course, every child is different, and
days can vary, so think about it in terms of weeks and plan for close to 70 diapers each week.

9. Baby Grooming Kit

It is a pouch of care for baby inside out. Everything a parent needs to maintain baby's health and cuteness. Scissors, Soft-Grip Toothbrush, Soft-Grip Hair Brush and Comb, Baby Nail Clippers, 5 Emery Boards, Silicone Finger Toothbrush, Medicine Dropper, Nasal Aspirator, Medicine Spoon, Nail Clippers, Digital Thermometer and Emergency Card, first aid to oral health.

10. Baby Bath and Baby Wash

.

It includes baby Bath tub, Baby Shower Gel, Moisturizer, Baby Rash Cream.
  • Three times a week might be enough until your baby becomes more mobile. Bathing your baby too much can dry out your baby's skin. We used the bath tub from fisher price as it can be used from 0-2 years of age.
  • Baby body wash and Shampoo- As a mother we always prefer gentle cleansing, which should be paraben, tear, and soap free. I choose two in one formula for body and hair cleansing. Aveeno baby wash and shampoo has everything a mother wants to give while showering her bundle of joy.
